Have you ever experienced this scenario? You spend hours, days, and weeks (maybe months) working on your website and product creation. You might be starting simple with a blog, or you may have a product package to sell. You just know that what you have to offer is so great that the question how to get traffic to your blog or site will be no problem, right? Not necessarily. Creating a website is only part of the equation. Getting noticed takes a little work.

The first step to getting noticed is to create fresh, original content on your site regularly. For most websites, this could be once or week or several times a week depending on your market. You’ll want to keep the information useful to your target market, so make it helpful. It is also wise to close blog entries with a teaser about the next blog to keep readers coming back for more.

While the best copy is conversation and speaks directly to the reader, don’t underestimate the value of hiring a proofreader. Too many websites and blogs these days are riddled with spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. If you don’t care enough to produce quality content, what does that say to your readers? Your website is the face of your business and if the world sees a sloppy site, visitors won’t see you as a professional. While you don’t have to have an English-teacher-ready copy, the conversational tone and style should reflect a tone of professionalism.

Next, you’ll want to optimize your copy. Use keywords in your copy that are related to your topic. Google’s free Keyword Tool can help you determine a list of relevant keywords. Search engines like original, quality copy surrounding the keywords. Don’t be tempted to use keywords in a list or to haphazardly place the words in the copy. It should read smoothly. For best results, add the keyword or keyword phrase to the title, to the first paragraph, and to the last paragraph. You should also add a few keywords in the body of the copy, preferable in the first third of it.

You can link to other high-quality websites. Consider exchanging links with other webmasters. These are called backlinks. Backlinks are, essentially, your hyperlinks on other websites. When clicked, these links point back to you site. The more backlinks that you have, the higher you’ll rank in the search engines. Sources like Digg.com and EzineArticles.com are great resources you can use to create backlinks.

If you choose to post on Digg or EzineArticles, you’ll want to create quality content that you can post on those sites. This is called article marketing. You can either write the articles yourself, or you can outsource the work. The more articles you post, the more traffic you can drive to your blog or website. Articles on these sites – and others -always include a bio box about the author as well as links that point to the author’s websites.

Even though your blog or website may be new, you can still get noticed if you follow some of the strategies above. Fresh, keyword-rich content is paramount to getting noticed by the search engines. If you work on your website consistently, post your links on other high-ranking websites and create keyword-rich, high quality articles, your website will climb in rank in the search engines, hence it solves the question “how to get traffic to your blog or new website”.

Website optimization is a term that many website owners have heard but most don’t understand or use. The problem is that website optimization is vital to bringing in traffic to a site. If your website hits have slowed, and you are looking for a way to increase traffic, website optimization is the key.

It is the process of making the condition of your website optimal for search engine detection and rankings on the results page. The final result of website optimization is the coveted spots within the top ten of the results, on the first page. In other words, this is a combination of your efforts and the automated efforts of the Internet and its functioning programs.

When you hear about website optimization, what do you think? Most people believe that it is simply referring to making your website look good. In fact, it is much more than that. Website optimization, in its basic definition, is enhancements that you do in order to increase the traffic to your website. There are quite a few different techniques that you can use to start driving more traffic to your website.

Your very first consideration should be about the keywords that you are using for your website. This is one of the biggest parts of website optimization. Search engines crawl websites looking for the keywords, and whether the content of your site is directly related to the keywords that you are using. In this, the position of your keywords in your content is also a part of website optimization.

You should be aware, however, that the old ways of using keywords for website optimization are no longer applicable because search engines have evolved in how they do things. You no longer have the need to put your keywords in bold print or overuse them; keyword density should be around 2%, which means that you should only be using your keywords a maximum of two times per 100 words of content. However, make sure, your keyword appears in your headline and within your first 50 words.

You are likely going to find a lot of information related to keywords and their proper use on your site. You will also discover that most of the information that you come across is going to push website optimization in front of website promotion. There are plenty of ways that you can get the right technique, and those who have little knowledge or understanding on the subject choose SEO professionals who know what they are doing. You also have the option of splitting up your website optimization efforts and hiring a professional just for specific aspects while you handle what you understand on your own.

There is more to website optimization than just keywords. You must also have great content that is related to the products or services that your website offers. The best thing to do is post to your site on a constant basis, including information that consumers and potential customers would find helpful, yet still compel them to buy something. Website optimization involves creating a set of specific things that you need to do in order to make your website stand out above the rest and draw in the readers that you need to be successful.

Article marketing has become one of the quickest ways to drawn attention to your website. Traffic generation is a big part of an Internet marketing business. In fact, without people visiting your site, you don’t have any sales. You can go through all the motions of running your website and maintaining your information with your site’s pages, but there are no sales conversions without visitors. Using articles to promote your website, or generate traffic as it’s called, is actually rather simple.

Keyword Rules

When you are writing your articles, it is important to research the keywords that you will be using for your specific niche and topic. There are several different levels of keywords and a few things that you should pay attention to when you are choosing the keywords to use. You need to make sure that your keywords are relevant to the article topic, and the article topic must be related to your website and the product you are promoting since you will be linking to your website in your article. Choose keywords that are not over-used as your primary keywords. When you are brainstorming for keyword phrases, try doing a search for that phrase. The results that you get listed will tell you how popular that phrase is. You don’t want your competition to be so great that you don’t have the slightest chance of making it to the 10th page let alone the 1st page. Additionally, don’t abuse the keywords in your articles. Limit your usage of each phrase to one time per 100 to 200 words.

Providing Valuable Information

Your articles should make sense and provide readers with information that they need. Quite often there are many writers who simply throw together a bunch of nonsense and strategically place keywords and anchor text throughout the article. Obviously, this is a big no-no. Your readers are looking for specific information that brought them to your article. Give them this information. Provide tips or solutions – something that will make your readers trust you and think really hard about buying from a competitor.

Content Layout

The layout of your article should be appealing but not riddled with unnecessary junk. Formatting should be simple. Use bullets or numbers to make lists of specific points or items that you are discussing. Keep your font simple and at a normal size. Avoid using italics and bold in excess. Furthermore, you should put a call to action at the bottom, also known as the resource section, of each article. Here is where you will tell your readers that there is more information available by clicking “X” link. This is where you can include the real URL to your website, or you can also use an anchor text keyword phrase that hides your URL.

In Internet marketing, one of the common terms that you will run across is anchor text. It is one of the many terms that correspond with the broad area of search engine optimization (SEO). It is a term that is also known as phrase linking or title text. When you visit a website, blog or article submission site, there are often words and phrases that are underlined or written as hyperlinks in colored text. These phrases are usually keywords that you have chosen for the particular piece of information. For example, an article on building cages would have the phrase ‘building cages’ set as a hyperlink that leads to another website when clicked. Essentially, it is a hidden URL within this phrase.

Anchor texts are commonly used in blog posts and in article marketing on submission sites. This is because these two things are ways to generate traffic to your home website or sales page. When you include the keywords as anchor text within your article or post, the URL that you link is the one for the page that you want readers to go to. There are two different types of anchor text that you can use: internal and external anchor text.

Internal anchor text involves using anchor texting within your specific website. You can use this to link one article or page to an entirely different one. You can also use internal anchor texts to send readers to articles or blog posts that you have written.

As you should know all too well by now, keywords play an important part of any type of Internet marketing that you may be involved in. It is one of the most basic things that are taught, regardless of where you get your information from. SEO keywords are important on many different levels.

First, your keywords play a role in how you grab your reader’s attention. Basically, people are led to your website, blog or articles based on specific searches. When you use the right seo keywords, these people will find the information that you are trying to offer. Your keywords should be directly related to the topic and your niche.

Second, the right keywords affect search engines. By now you are probably familiar with search engine optimization. In a nutshell, this is the term used to describe the efforts that you do to optimize your content for search engines. There are many things that fall under this category, but seo keywords are at the root of it all. The right keywords ensure that your content is picked up by search engines, which increases your page rankings in the results lists, and this increases your visibility and traffic generation to your website. Choosing the right seo keywords involves just a few things.

First, you need to make sure that your keywords are relevant to your topic and your particular niche. This helps you to get a leg up over your competition. You would be surprised to learn how many Internet marketers don’t choose seo keywords that are relevant. Additionally, the right keywords are specific and not general. In the same breath, however, your keywords must not be too specific. If you narrow down your keywords too far, you are going to come across terms that no one will be searching for.

Keyword competition is another big part in choosing the right seo keywords for your content. There are many keyword choices that are popular and this means that the competition is very high with them. When you are trying to find the right keywords to use you need to pick the ones that have a high rate of demand by people searching, but they are not used too often. It is like finding an equal balance, and it will help you work to increase your rankings with the search engines.

Considering multiple variations and uses is another key to finding the right seo keywords to use. One simple word can have multiple variations. For example, if someone were searching for something related to plumbing, they would get results for plumbers and plumber as well. Think about misspellings and plurals when you are thinking about which keywords are the right ones to use.

The right keywords play an important part of how difficult it will be to maintain a constant effort in your SEO techniques. Researching your keywords is a vital part of this. Due diligence takes you a long way with SEO.

Without using the right tool, it is nearly impossible to stay ahead of your competition. A good way to start is Market Samurai, which will definitely take hours off your market research plus it has much more useful modules you will appreciate once you have tried them out. It is probably the most complete tool of its kind. Furthermore, their video tutorials will most likely help to answer all your questions. At this point, you can download a free copy of Market Samurai to get you started.

Keywords, keywords, keywords. As an Internet marketer, that is something that cannot be repeated enough. You hear it over and over in everything that you do with your website. This is because keywords are the most vital part of a website, and they determine where your ranking sits with search engines. This, in turn, determines just how visible and available your website is to readers who are looking for something related to what you’re offering. With the importance of keywords being so high, it is necessary for you to implement using a tool to help you determine which keywords are the right ones to use. The Google Keywords Tool is one such tool.

This keyword tool is a nice thing to have in your Internet marketing arsenal. It can prove to be beneficial from the first time that you use it. Like most other tools, the Google Keywords Tool works to provide you with a list of keywords based on an initial keyword that you enter. It is designed to give you related phrases to use with minimal effort and little confusion.

Using the Google Keywords Tool is actually pretty simple. You take a small phrase, no more than two words, and enter it into the text box. The tool automatically searches through the Google network to provide you with a lengthy list of keywords that you can use. In addition to this information, Google also tells you how often these keywords are used in competitor websites and how frequently these keywords are search on a local and a global level. From this information, you can determine which keywords are popular to use, which ones are used too much, and which ones are not used that often. The general idea is to use keywords from each of these three areas to maximize your website content’s exposure.

Once you have picked through the list and chosen some of the new suggestions, you can repeat the process using that phrase. You will yield different results. Some will be related to your main keywords that you started with but others will not. You need to weed out the ones that aren’t related.

The Google Keywords Tool is a free tool offered by Google for Internet marketers that utilize many different methods in their promotions, from PPC advertising to general posting. As one of the many free tools, it can be difficult to learn something new. This tool provides a simple user-friendly interface, but if you get stuck you can find tons of information-on the Internet-about making sense of the results provided with your Google Keywords Tool. You can also find much more information and tips on making this particular tool work better for you than any other.

As an Internet marketer, keywords are a vital aspect of your marketing campaign. Your entire website revolves around keywords. Your title, your content, and your meta tags are all dependent on keywords. What most marketers do not realize is that the importance of keywords and how they relate to the success of your website is a lot deeper than just that.

Keywords play a crucial role in how your website is ranked with search engines. They are the determining factor for relevancy. Basically, a person will search for a specific term or phrase. The search engine then trolls through the thousands and thousands of websites and tons of information on the Internet to provide the most relevant results to those particular keywords. When your website uses these keywords, and its relevant to the content and your website, your rankings are much higher, which makes your website visible to the search engines much faster. So, how do you figure out which keywords will help your website get to this point? You use keyword tools.

Keyword tools are programs that are used to help suggest specific keywords, as well as relevant keywords. Let’s say, for example, that you have a list of desired keywords and on this list you have the phrase “dog training tips.” If you were searching for information with that exact phrase, you’re going to get a lot of results, and not all of it may be what you’re looking for. As a website owner, if you were to input that phrase into your keyword tool, you would get a list of other related phrases that you can use to lessen the competition with these other websites. For example, your keyword tools might yield you with suggestions for using “properly training a dog” or “training a dog safely.” It’s these other phrases that you incorporate, in addition to the main phrase, into your content.

Keyword tools are found in two main categories: free and paid. Free keyword tools are often provided by top search engine companies, like Yahoo and Google. They are essential aids to beginning marketers. They serve the general purpose for what they are designed to do, but they are not comprehensive enough for the expert marketer. Eventually, you will need to upgrade to the paid versions.

The paid keyword tools are the ones that are available for a fee, either one time or regularly. These tools are often preferred by marketers with experience because they are more comprehensive in what they provide. While they still perform the same basic function of keyword suggestions and generations, they also provide other things that help marketers with website optimization. These paid versions also provide you with a little more extensive keyword researching abilities, and they possess the capability of generating reports that show which of the variations and keywords are being searched the most and which ones are being overused by competitor websites.

Search Engine Optimization can be difficult to understand without experience. Learning the basics of SEO keyword use is not going to be too beneficial for a website. SEO is a continuous process; you must consistently and regularly use multiple techniques to make site rankings climb. No Internet marketer has the intention of starting a website as a failure. In fact, the ultimate goal is to run a successful Internet marketing campaign through the use of such tools like websites and blogs. Part of working to make sure that your website is a successful one is to learn how to use SEO keyword implementation properly. It is vital to your success to learn this technique as early as possible, but even if you’re already established and out there on the Web, it’s not too late to turn things around.

SEO depends on the keywords that you choose. Choosing the SEO keyword that you will use for each piece that you post is rather important. Most Internet marketers pay way too much attention to advertising the existence of a website or blog. The advertising is only a small portion of the bigger picture. The effort that you put into your page rankings should include many smaller aspects, but SEO keyword selection should be your first priority. The keywords that you choose for each page of your website, article that you add or blog that you post should be centered completely on specific keywords that are relevant to your niche and the topic that you have chosen. By making sure that you are choosing the appropriate SEO keywords ensures that your site or blog is indexed by all the major search engines. The more relevant and popular that your keywords are makes it much easier for search engines to find and display your site in the search results. The ultimate goal for every Internet marketer is to hit the first result on the first page, but if your SEO keyword brings a result on the first page itself, you have done well.

When choosing which SEO keyword that you will use, you should follow a checklist. First, you should make sure that you are researching the keywords that you want to use. Think about simple keywords that are related to the topic that you are creating. You are looking to use popular keywords, but you don’t want to choose an SEO keyword that is overused. In the beginning of Internet marketing, there was a lot of talk about using long tail SEO keywords and how they were much more beneficial to a site than short keywords. Research has shown that now this is not quite the case. People usually prefer to use short phrases instead of a long string.

Integrating an SEO keyword into your web page or blog page must be done properly. Basically, relevance is the key, as usual, but you must also make sure that you are using the keywords properly. Don’t put your keywords in a particular page too often. Too many occurrences of the same keyword is referred to as spamming, and will automatically cause search engines to pass over you. There is a standard for how many times a particular keyword should appear in an article, web page, or blog post. This is called the density, and should not be more than 1 to 2 % of words. Your SEO keyword should appear in the title, about the first or second sentence in your post, and then evenly throughout the content.

Google Adwords has morphed into an unforgiving beast for its users over the years. It is not simple; it once was when Google started its Adwords system. Google has made Adwords so complicated that there is a practical entry barrier for beginners to this game. But it doesnt mean you cannot beat Google at its own game.

Click Through Rate (CTR) is very important for the success of your campaigns. CTR is the number of clicks in 100 impressions your ad will receive. In order to get a good CTR, you need to learn how to write enticing ads for the people to click. It is a delicate balance. High CTR may not result in good conversions. Aim for a CTR above 2%.

The most important matrix for you to understand is the Quality Score. Google never tells how Quality Score is calculated exactly but gives you general guidelines. Good QS means very low minimum bid for each click. Quality Score can be Great, OK or Poor. If Quality Score is great, Google can charge you $0.02-0.04 as a minimum bid for your ad to become active.

Quality Score primarily depends on your website. Google likes to see a website that is relevant to the keyword that it is being advertised. If Google thinks that your website is relevant, it will assign your website a great quality score.

Optimize your website before you make a new campaign. Use some SEO. Google likes SEO. Be careful, once Google assigns a quality score to your website, it will not change its opinion afterwards.

You need to optimize each page of your website for one particular keyword. Make a separate page for each keyword. In your campaign use only that page for that keyword. Google likes to quality content. Put good content on your site. Google hates one page websites. It provides poor user experience. Google cares about its users.

Ad Rank is another matrix that you need to know. Ad Rank= (CTR) (Your Bid) (Quality Score). You can see; CTR and Quality Score are very important for your success. There is a quality score for each campaign as well as a general quality score of your Google Adwords Account.

Google also maintains a quality score of your general account. Your overall CTR in the account should never ever fall below 1% in my opinion. If your account gets assigned a poor quality score, it will affect your new campaign as well and if your account has a great quality score, Google will reward you more by assigning very low minimum bids for new campaigns as well. Be careful!

But even if you do every thing right, doesnt mean that you are on safer ground. Your can get Google Slap anytime. No one knows the exact reasons for a Google Slap. Google Slap is the way Google uses to tell you to buzz off and dont use Google anymore. Learn to beat Google at its own game with Google Ambush!

Determining the best method to use is very important.Having a good title is very important.-Try your best to have the keyword in the article once every 100 words.Using the keyword too much will make the article boring to read.Ensure you do not ruin the article by using the keyword too much

Ezine is a great first place to submit your article. After submitting to Ezine rewrite the article and submit it to another directory to gain traffic. Now once they are submitted resubmit these articles to GoArticle, ArticleBase and SearchWarp. Some people rewrite the article for these directories but I do not. These sites boost your ranking but don’t give you a lot of traffic.

After all this you can use social network sites to boost traffic.
