e-mail marketing Archives

Email marketing has been used as a marketing technique for many years. It is considered to be the electronic equivalent to mailing circulars and newsletters to businesses and homes. For your professional needs, email marketing can be a valuable asset. If you plan your campaign properly, you can build an extensive network which is extremely beneficial to your business and its profits.

Your first step is to start building your email marketing list. The first addition to your list will be your current and previous customers. As you receive requests for information, add these emails to your list. If you’re smart about how you draw your emails, you will have an extensive list started in a short period. You can also choose to purchase email contact lists from marketing companies based on your target criteria.

Your next step is to add an opt-in form on your website and/or blog. This opt-in is a great way to capture email addresses for your campaign. You can offer registration for updates and special offers. Your opt-in should be visible to visitors, ideally located at the top or middle of the web page.

Newsletters are a good way to draw in customers for email marketing. Visitors will come to your site and see that you offer a newsletter, by subscription, directly to their email inbox. Your newsletter should be completely relevant to your product or service and a new one should be sent regularly. You can send a new newsletter weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Make sure that the email messages you create for your email marketing campaign are written and designed well. Provide well-researched information. Avoid being too technical and confusing. Balance the messages evenly between relevant information and promoting what you’re offering. You should focus more on the quality of your message instead of trying to hard sell something.

Your subject line is a crucial part of any messages you use in email marketing. The subject line is the first thing readers see. If your subject line does not entice a reader, it will go straight into the trash bin without being read.

The structure of your email messages is also important. Your messages should be easy on the eyes. Avoid messy clutter. Simple designs are always better. If you include images, they should also be simple, so they load quickly. Make sure that your messages provide your contact information and a logo if you have one.

Finally, spruce up your email marketing lists regularly. Remove any addresses that don’t work. You should also remove any email addresses immediately after receiving a request to do so. Don’t fret over losing the contacts. They can be replaced quickly and easily.

Email marketing doesn’t take a lot of upkeep. The initial effort will take more time than any of it. If you take the time to set things up properly from the beginning, your success will come much easier as time passes. There is a broad range of tools and software programs that can help you with your effort in making your email marketing campaign work for you the way that you want.

When Internet marketing rose in popularity, email marketing was one of the main ways of promoting a website. When spam problems started causing a ripple in the effectiveness of email marketing, autoresponders weren’t used as frequently anymore. Autoresponders started out as a means of mass mailing for future and current customers in email marketing, but when a decline in the use of email marketing occurred, the need for autoresponders also fell.

When the general public became ensnared by blogging, it wasn’t long before entrepreneurs, affiliate marketers and other business owners started using blogs as promotional aids for their company’s website. As a result to this demand, there are now many different ways that your blog can be used, and autoresponders come into play again. Autoresponders can be used with blogs just as they were used for email marketing. The whole function of an autoresponder is to capture email addresses and then use those lists to send emails in bulk.

One of the most common ways to use an autoresponder with a blog is through an opt-in option; this is generally the only way that you can obtain a potential customer’s email address and name that doesn’t result in getting reported for spam. An opt-in allows readers to subscribe to something specific you are offering, using a name and email address. You can use the opt-in to offer updates when you post something new on the blog. You can also use an opt-in to offer free newsletters or access to an article series you have written. There are also some bloggers that use the opt-in option to provide free e-books of interest to people who subscribe.

Your blog has the purpose of sending interested readers to your website where they can purchase the products or services you offer. The idea of a blog is that you are providing valuable information that will help people decide. The blog, unlike your website, is a means of establishing a customer base. By using an autoresponder, you are turning an interested reader into a possible customer. You can use the email lists to keep these possible customers up to date with the latest specials, new products and freebies that you are offering.

The very nature of doing business through the Internet is quite impersonal. In most cases, the buyer and seller know very little about one another. As a seller it is important to create a sense of who you are or what your business is all about. The only way to accomplish that is through consistent contact. Don’t start out pummeling email with hard sales; in fact, don’t do it at all. These people signed up for something in particular so make sure that providing this is your first priority. Send an initial email to new addresses that thanks them for signing up and use this to introduce yourself. You can preprogram your autoresponder to automatically send this after someone submits their information into the opt-in form. Stay in contact-about once a week-unless you have made important changes. Mix your messages up; send information in between your sales messages.

Email marketing programs are a revolutionary means of communicating created by the advances in web 2.0 technology. With the increase of e-commerce as a result of these same technological innovations, email is now one of the most important means of marketing products and services through the internet. Through email, companies and businesses have a time effective means of reaching many potential consumers. Through email, marketing copies get delivered directly to a persons inbox; companies no longer have to wait for consumers to come across their ads in the internet.

Video Email Marketing programs Power:

Video email marketing programs are an improvement to proven internet marketing text email strategies. Through video and audio email, your recipients no longer have to slog through text advertising copy. Even if your marketing copy contains wonderful graphics and engaging text, you cannot always expect an individual to read them when other email communications await their attention. That’s why for all the emails you sent in a day, only a minute fraction would respond to your advertisement and visit your web site.

Video email campaign software make emails more interesting than traditional text email marketing copy. Busy people will have more time to watch and/or listen than read copy. Your video presentation can be as short as thirty seconds. Studies have shown that most people will watch at least two thirds of that presentation. Given a good video email copy, this short span of time can be enough to peak your recipients interest in your product or services, create a personal bond and encourage them to take time off their busy schedules to visit your web site. If you doubt the impact of video and audio presentations as marketing tools, then you just have to think about the enormous boost in sales that result from TV infomercials and radio and triple it.

Video Email Marketing Programs Weaknesses:

There are reasons why some companies and marketing individuals have preferred sending antiquated graphic and text email advertisements rather than video email. One of the most popular reasons for some marketing professionals reluctance to shift over to video email marketing campaigns is the belief that recipients of these emails do not use the same video platforms and standards. There is just no way to determine the recipients level of computer technology so that the appropriate format of video could be sent to each persons inbox.

One other weakness is the large file size of each video email marketing copy. This obstacle is hardly something that can not be over come but this is nonetheless an issue.

Solutions to Video Email Marketing Program’s Problems:

Luckily, there are Video email campaign software systems that can solve the above mentioned challenges associated with video email marketing campaigns. To solve the large file size being attached problem, when you now send a video email it is streamed from a server. Kind of like accessing a video on a website except this video or audio message plays in the persons inbox making it much more of a personal message increasing your response rate. This means that you do not have to use any of the actual video file size in your video email marketing copy.

To solve the problem about incompatible video platforms, professional video email system providers have applications that can instantaneously detect the viewers video playing format the moment the recipients clicks the preview. The appropriate video is then selected and plays instantly. This means that every video email gets viewed and tracked properly whatever the recipients video standard.[youtube:e4INeRGcFP4;Internet Marketing and New Video Email Marketing Campaigns.;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4INeRGcFP4&feature=related]

Given video emails flexibility and undeniable persuasive powers, isn’t it time to take advantage of video email in your internet marketing campaigns? I have built 3 companies in 5 countries using these systems before some of the problems where corrected. Now with the systems playing on all computers and formats with excellent quality the door is wide open for the internet marketers that are smart early adapters to separate themselves from everyone else and grab major market share in there advertising and/or recruiting.

A few years ago we saw the birth of the dot com era, to which we provided tools for detecting and generating demand destined to software and service companies. We want to share here a few things we learned in terms of using Internet Marketing.

First of all, think the way your customers think. They do not use the internet to interact with brands or companies. They use it for various purposes: doing research, sharing with others, or just for the fun of it

People do not generally believe all features of a product or a service are real when it is the same company which is telling them so. The words and opinions of their friends and family about a product is more powerful than a company’s words. Internet marketing should be aware of this and instead of spending a lot of time describing what your product does, have other people talk about them.

One of the goals of Internet marketing should be giving people information that they can actually use at the moment of making purchases and not just spam.

When a potential customer enters you website, he or she is already looking for information about your company and they want to know what your stand for. Internet marketing enables customers to overcome bias.

Internet marketing seeks to touch people and get their attention. Their targets are people who use the internet for professional enrichment, fun, and high quality services.

Prospects create content, dialogues, and discussions around brands, even when these companies have never requested it.

Effective internet marketing combines entertainment, content, incentives, and improves the results of any action. Its goal is to share.

When you speak the language of your customers you improve your relationship with them and they can see it in the product you sell or service you provide.

A form of Internet marketing is the creating of forums or spaces where people have the opportunity to interact and share ideas about certain products. You may also use these spaces to tell the customers about your commercial process.

Your organization should generate stimulating experiences for the public which is the only way to get people to actually pay attention to your messages.

4 Ways to Build a List Effectively

by Brian Terry

The most effective way of making money through internet marketing is by list building. List building basically means making customers out of strangers. Once you understand the strategies and learn how to effectively build your list, you can use your knowledge to market to both clients and prospects alike. Here are four of the proven ways guaranteed to build your list:

1.) Offer free newsletter subscription

Even if this could perhaps be the oldest tactic you can apply, it is proven that even until today, an email packed full of useful information is a very dependable instrument of maintaining communication with your past, current and potential customers. There have been many studies conducted that confirmed the effectiveness of free newsletters when 90% of the customers interviewed said that they will buy services from the same vendor once more if asked to. Imagine that! You can use free newsletters to close sales with previous buyers.

2.) Make the subscription and un-subscription processes easy for customers.

DO not just place your subscription form in your homepage. Rather, have it placed on every page of your site so your visitors miss no opportunity of signing up. Also, make the un-subscription process easy as well. Many people are hesitant to get involved in something if they do not see which way is the exit beforehand. Since they barely know you, the trust is not yet there. Hence, if they are unsure that they can easily break free if something begins to smell fishy, they would refuse to sign up for anything. However, if you can prove to them how easy it is to unsubscribe whenever they like, they would think that they have nothing to lose and thus, sign up instead.

3.) Write articles of quality content.

Having your articles in an article directory increases the chances of visitors coming across them considerably. If they see that your articles are of quality content, they would begin to read more of your articles, directing them to your site. Once there, they could get to see more about the products you are selling. If you can impress them with your articles, they would probably consider buying from you than from other sellers. Furthermore, by writing regularly on a certain topic, you quickly establish yourself as an authority on that topic. This increases the trust of customers and visitors alike. Sales would then result, followed by referrals. Another way of having people see your articles are by participating in forum discussions and blog chats by providing useful information and leaving links to your site and articles there.

4.) Write a free e-book

Choose some of your better articles on a single topic or related ones, proofread them, revise what needs to be revised, supply further information, and compile them together to make an e-book. Some people might not even want to bother signing up for a standard published ezine or newsletter but they would be enthusiastic in subscribing and exchanging their email addresses for a 15-page e-book packed with quality information they can use to solve a problem.
